Col. Ned Felder and Kris Olsen just met recently, but they’ve been friends for fifty-six years. They’ve been writing each other letters since 1967. Kris was a seventh grader then and sent a care package to a soldier in Vietnam. Col. Felder wrote back, and they’ve been connected ever since.
