When Molly’s husband died in a skiing accident, she was devastated. In the days after his death, her friends and family rallied around her. But, eventually, they had to go back to their lives. That’s when one of Molly’s friends came up with a wonderful idea. She gave Molly a calendar with a person listed on each day and told her that someone would be there for her every day for an entire year. It was a tangible way to let Molly know she was supported, loved, and not alone. The “Calendar Girls”–as her friends called it–gave Molly something to look forward to in the midst of her loss and grief.
