A two-minute conversation with a four-year-old changed Jonathan Stanley’s life. Stanley was sitting behind a stack of his own books at a Barnes and Noble when four-year-old Ella walked up to him and let him know that she wanted to be an author, like him, someday. Their conversation was captured by Ella’s mom and quickly went viral on TikTok. Since then, Stanley’s book has become a bestseller. Ella’s mom says their brief interaction is a reminder that small acts can make a big difference. She says, “I hope it inspires people to support one another and be kind to one another. I always tell my kids that that is our goal, and our purpose here is to do what we can to bring joy to everybody.” And when Ella gets her first book published, Stanley said he will be the first in line to buy it.
