
It started with a group of fourth graders who simply loved to cheer. They came to high school basketball games with handmade signs, school colors, and an enthusiasm that couldn’t be missed. Their steady presence caught the attention of the players at Alta High School, who realized how meaningful that kind of encouragement can be. Wanting to give something back, the high school team surprised the younger students by filling the stands at one of their games, turning the gym into a place of laughter, applause, and wide-eyed amazement. In that exchange, something beautiful happened: Support moved both directions, and a simple act of showing up became a reminder of how connection can light up an ordinary day.
