“It Was My Job”

Today we remember Martin Luther King, Jr., but do you know the names Simeon Saunders Booker, Jr. or Roy Reed?  Until a few weeks ago, I didn’t.  They were Civil Rights reporters.  They both died last month.  You may find a story about the deaths of two men an odd choice for Stories of Joy, but I find great inspiration in their lives.  They were brave men who saw injustice in our world and reported on it.  Their work helped change things for the better.

Here’s a link to the story on NPR.  Take a few minutes to listen.
