Hanukkah begins Sunday. For the families of the synagogue shooting victims in Pittsburgh, it’ll be their first Hanukkah without their relatives. We pray they know some peace and comfort through this holiday. For Gert Berliner, it’ll be his first Hanukkah knowing of his new-found family. All because of a toy monkey.
