Stories of Joy first brought you the story of David Deutchman back in January 2018. He was known as the “ICU Grandpa” at the hospital where he volunteered for more than a decade. Grandpa Deutchman died several weeks ago, and his family missed him at their Thanksgiving table last week. Hundreds and hundreds of families have been thankful for the love he gave their newborns. As much as he’s missed, he wanted his family and friends to know that he lived a “full and rich” life. We know he brought joy beyond joy to the babies he cared for all of these years.
