Scott Legried’s small act of kindness hasn’t gone unrewarded. He was driving down the road when a dog appeared in front of him out of nowhere. Legried swerved to avoid the dog and suffered a number of injuries in the process. The injuries were severe enough that Legried, a farmer, was unable to harvest his 600 acres of corn and soybeans. That was when his small town stepped up with over a dozen farmers showing up with their equipment in the midst of their own busy season to help a neighbor in need. One resident says, “It’s what people do here. When somebody offers you help here, you know you should take it. Because it comes from the heart.” Click the link below to read about this Pay-It-Forward Town.
