Every child dreams about getting a bike, and every parent dreams about teaching their child how to ride a bike. However, it’s becoming uncommon to see youth riding to school. Devin Olson, a parent in Minneapolis, is trying to change that. “Bike to School Day” was born. Olson has led 11 semi-annual “bike buses” to promote biking to school. “We want kids to celebrate going to school,” says Olson. It’s catching on in San Francisco and in Portland.
