Food is an important part of life, and so is loving and caring for others. One Arizona woman has found a way to share love through her love of tamales. Imelda Hartley started making tamales when she was six years old with her grandmother. Then she made it into her own business called Happy Tamales. Every one of her tamales has a name for inspiration. “I’m a domestic violence survivor myself, so I decided to give them a personality that has to do with life,” said Hartley. “I call my tamales, happiness, hope, resilience, and friendship. That’s the reason I make them.” Click the video link below to see how one small tamale can make such a big difference!
