February is Black History Month, and we want you to meet Amanda Gorman. She is the first Youth Poet Laureate of the United States. She recognizes the importance of that. She also acknowledges that she’s the first woman to serve in the role and the first African-American to serve in the role. That’s a lot of firsts! She’s an impressive young lady who loves poetry and uses its power to write about social justice.
