Andrew Parker’s grandfather was diagnosed with dementia several years ago. Andrew soon realized his grandmother needed some extra help caring for his grandfather, so he hired a “grandkid” to help his grandparents. College students actually. Papa Pals grew from there. College students take jobs caring for older folks. Playing cards, taking them to appointments, going to the park, just hanging out. As one client put it, “I don’t know what it is with pairing an octogenarian with a millennial, but it works.”
