I grew up in a small town in Ohio on Lake Erie. I remember spending the Fourth of July at Township Park. A carnival came to town every year and set up at the park for several days. My dad took us there in the afternoon on the Fourth. We’d ride some of the carnival rides, play at the park, swim in the lake, and have a picnic dinner. As the sun was setting, local groups would perform a concert of patriotic music. “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” was a sign that the concert was ending, and the fireworks were starting. For today’s Story of Joy, we’re bringing you a performance from The United States Army Chorus. Enjoy!
