This story isn’t exactly lions and lambs lying together, but a goat named Cinnamon and a dog named Felix showed up on the doorstep of Wake County Animal Shelter in Raleigh, NC. At first, the shelter did the logical thing and separated Cinnamon and Felix so they each had their own enclosure. But that didn’t go well, so they were reunited in the same holding pen. After noticing the bond they had for each other, the shelter decided to try to get them adopted together. The Facebook post about their strange adoption request was shared thousands of times leading to a new home secured for these “best buds” for life. This story is a wonderful reminder that all of us need a friend like Cinnamon and Felix have found in each other.
